Offshore Safety Training
Deutsche WindGuard offers training courses and workshops in the field of wind energy utilisation that are held in Germany and abroad. Our services range from crash courses to full training programs lasting several months that we design to meet your requirements. Highly qualified teachers with many years of experience in practical applications, research, and of course teaching are available to you.
Deutsche WindGuard also offers offshore safety trainings to meet the growing need for training in the field of offshore wind farming. We offer tailor-made safety courses in one of Germany's most advanced Maritime Safety Training Centers in the vicinty of Bremen.
The basic traning course BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) can be booked as a 5-Day-Intentsive training course or subdivided into One-Day-Modules. It consists of the following parts:
- Fall Protection System/ Personal Safety Equipment (PSE) (PDF Download/256KB)
- First Aid (PDF Download/120KB)
- Sea Survival (PDF Download/330KB)
- Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) (PDF Download/270 KB)
- Fire Fighting (PDF Download/230KB)
This training is based on the international safety standards set for the Oil & Gas Industry and the seafaring industries (developed by for example the International Convention of Training Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers). The BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training) is certified by the Germanischer Lloyd (GL) and approved as advanced vocational training by the German Labour Bureau.

From 2012-01-01 on courses will be held on a weekly basis. Training starts at 2012-01-09 and ends on 2012-12-07.
