Calibration Wind Tunnels
The two proprietary calibration wind tunnels are mainly used for anemometer calibration. In addition, sensors used in the wind energy industry (flow and wind direction sensors) are developed here. All sensors are then calibrated and often also classified. The wind tunnels are accepted by the independent institutions DKD, PTB, MEASNET and DAR. The calibration of the flow sensors is conducted in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
Since 2009, one of the calibration wind tunnels is also used by the PTB (Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt) to define the unit “m/s” in the field of flow measurements, representing the national standard for this physical unit in Germany.
